forest angel

This is technically a WIP, but I'm uploading it as a finished piece because it's a finished part of a bigger piece. Aside from the bottom of her leg--I know it's not done. But it's going to be covered up by grass and flowers and such so I left it alone.

The wings! Look! They're not half bad, if I do say so myself. I'm pretty proud of them. And I like her hair too. I think doing hair my way and ignoring what all the tutorials say about working dark to light worked to my favor this time. Not that tutorials suck or anything, but sometimes you have to break the rules.

Oh, and the thing on her shoulder--it's supposed to be a tattoo. Does it look like a tattoo or just like some screwed up green random squiggles?

This took me like 20+ hours, so I'm sure it's going to take another 40 or more to finish the rest of the painting. If only I didn't have to work full time. I could do this for 8 hours a day instead and have it done in no time! Stupid work. As it is it will probably be another month before the whole thing is finished. Oh well, I'm having fun with it.
